Just a few of this 94-page report’s findings are that: 44.34% of the bequests granted to colleges in the sample were unrestricted meaning that the recipient has full discretion over how the funds are spent. For hospitals, the same figure was 74.4%. 73.61% of the organizations sampled have a web page on the organizational website about how to leave a bequest to the organization. 9.04% of the bequests granted to the institutions sampled over the past five years came from individuals aged 50+ to 60.
